Common ports

What this means

  • OPEN

A service accepted the connection. Anything reachable from the public Internet should be intentional, authenticated and kept up to date.

  • CLOSED

The target responded, but nothing is listening on this port. Connections are actively refused.

  • FILTERED

No response was received. A firewall, router or upstream provider may be silently dropping traffic to this port.

  • UNSUPPORTED

XPOZ could not reliably test this port from the current scanning environment, so no result is reported.

Important

  • Port Check tests up to ten TCP ports at a point in time. A closed or filtered result does not guarantee that your device, network, or systems are secure.
  • XPOZ tests only the IP currently associated with this browser.
  • Results are not saved to an application database.
